The Royal Agricultural Society Foundation (RASF) was established in 2007 to help build strong, sustainable and resilient rural and regional communities in NSW.

Purpose of the RAS Foundation Rural Scholarship: To support students who are passionate and committed to forging careers that will contribute to the future success of rural and regional NSW including the ACT.

Value: Up to $6,000 for full-time study or $3,000 for part-time study. 

Who can apply?

  • Applicants of any age are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be applying for, or holding admission to, a course with relevance to rural and regional NSW including the ACT.
  • Applicants must be studying at a registered higher education provider. This can be a university, TAFE or college.
  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

 Selection priorities based on:

  • Financial need.
  • Desire to actively contribute in rural and  regional NSW including the ACT.
  • Demonstrated interest in rural issues and involvement in the local community.

Applications open: Friday 1 July 2022

Application close: Monday 5 September 2022

Scholarship Funds: Awarded in three instalments commencing in April 2023 for use in the 2023 academic year.
