About the RAS Foundation
The RAS Foundation has proudly supported rural and regional communities across New South Wales and the ACT since 2007, helping individuals and organisations realise their potential and strengthen their communities. Through scholarships and grants, the Foundation invests in initiatives that create meaningful, long-term impact across rural and regional NSW.
What is the RAS Foundation Charity Brunch?
The RAS Foundation Charity Brunch is an annual fundraising event held during the Sydney Royal Easter Show and is one of the Foundation’s most significant fundraising initiatives. The event welcomes more than 180 guests, including donors, supporters and stakeholders.
Each year, the funds raised through the Brunch's live and silent auctions and donor contributions are donated to a selected grassroots organisation or project making a meaningful impact in rural and regional NSW.
What projects have benefitted from the RAS Foundation Charity Brunch in previous years?
2026 $51,000 raised for United Way’s Imagination Library in Brewarrina, Walgett, Coonamble & Gilgandra, helping to continue this early literacy program in these communities.
2025 $63,000 raised for Birds in the Bush to help build a trauma-informed children's playground at The Orchard, a refuge in Bathurst supporting families in the Orange and Bathurst regions who have been impacted by domestic and family violence.
2024 $43,000 raised for The Root Cause to run the Making Friends with Food healthy eating program for 2000 students in Moree and Narrabri.
2023 $58,000 for Eugowra Community Children’s Centre for new playground equipment, shade structures and educational play items after the devastating 2022 floods.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for consideration, organisations must:
- Have a defined project, program, or funding need.
- Deliver programs or services that benefit rural or regional communities in NSW.
- Demonstrate clear, measurable community impact.
- Be able to attend and present at the 2027 RAS Foundation Charity Brunch, to
be held held on Wednesday 24th March 2027 during the Sydney Royal Easter Show at Sydney Olympic Park.
- Be willing to collaborate with the RAS Foundation for promotional and reporting activities.
When are the donations awarded to the successful applicant?
Funds raised from the RAS Foundation Charity Brunch are donated to the chosen recipient in April 2027 following the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
How to Apply
Interested organisations are invited to complete this Expression of Interest form in full as soon as possible.
Applications will be reviewed by the RAS Foundation team, and shortlisted organisations may be contacted for further information or discussion.
